Worldwide restaurant chain specializing in burritos and tacos, Chipotle, now accepts payments in cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin.

Customers can now pay for their burritos and tacos with Bitcoin and other digital currencies at the chain's restaurants. Flexa has announced that the Mexican fast-food chain can now accept digital payments, exclusively through its platform. This option is available at all US Chipotle locations and customers can use it if they have a Flexa-enabled wallet app like Gemini and SPEDN. Customers simply launch the app, select Chipotle, and show their phone at checkout.

Flexa said it is giving everyone a 10 percent discount on their next purchase at the chain's restaurants through June 30. However, there is a single transaction limit and the maximum discount a customer can receive is $10.

Chipotle sent a statement to Yahoo! from Curt Garner, Chief Technology Officer, which says that the chain is “constantly exploring innovation that will enhance our guest experience, and that includes now accepting digital currency payments with Flexa in Chipotle's U.S. restaurants.”
