Navigate on Autopilot and the electric car maker's Full Self-Driving suite are now available for Tesla owners in Australia. Tesla owners have been waiting for the features for quite some time.

Tesla enthusiast @_TeslaTom shared with the community that the automaker’s Full Self-Driving suite was finally available for purchase in Australia, along with Navigate on Autopilot. Based on the picture, @_TeslaTom added to his post, the following FSD Capabilities will be available:

• Navigate on Autopilot: automatic driving from highway on-ramp to off-ramp, including interchanges and overtaking slower cars.
• Autopark: both parallel and perpendicular spaces.
• Summon: your parked car will come to find you anywhere in a parking lot. Really

The purchase page for Tesla FSD in Australia also mentioned that the other capabilities would be released later “this” year—which may be interpreted as the year 2020. These capabilities include the ability of Tesla's vehicles to recognize and respond to traffic lights and stop signs, as well as automatic driving on city streets. It should be noted that this notification was visible in the FSD page for US customers as well. 

In November, Tesla raised the price for its Full Self-Driving feature by US$1,000. Elon Musk had announced the increase back in October after Tesla released its V10.0 update, which introduced Smart Summon to the company’s all-electric fleet.

After hearing about the price increase, Australian Tesla owners kept asking Elon Musk when they would receive FSD features that would roll out in their part of the world. In October, FSD was still unavailable for Tesla owners in Australia.

The inquires for FSD’s arrival in Australia drew so much attention, Tesla’s CEO replied. Musk gave a vague answer, tweeting “Coming v soon,” reported The Driven.

It seems that Musk kept his promise. FSD has indeed been made available to Australia Tesla owners quite soon given that Tesla released its V10.0 update just a few months ago in September in the United States. 

Based on the price listed on the purchase page in Australia, FSD costs AU$8,000. According to The Driven's calculations back in October, with Tesla's price increase FSD would have cost AU$10,000. So it seems that the automaker didn't increase the price of FSD in Australia.

This makes sense because the FSD feature available in Australia does not include certain upgrades introduced in the 2019.40.50 update. The latest update in the United States introduced Driving Visualization Improvements, which really introduced certain capabilities for FSD. 

Tesla recently rolled out some new Full Self-Driving features in China as well, such as Smart Summon. Europe received Smart Summon as well, though the feature is abridged due to limitations from local regulations. It seems that Tesla has been doubling down on its software services and products lately.

Besides releasing its FSD and Smart Summon features, the automaker has also rolled out its Premium Connectivity Package, new games for Tesla Arcade, and additional streaming services for Tesla Theater, too.
