Base on the recent San Francisco Chronicle article which reported Wednesday (May 6th 2020) afternoon, Tesla is now preparing to reopen the Fremont California Factory in between now and next week. In the article mentioned a person familiar with factory operations who wanted to stay anonymous, handful of employees have returned to the Fremont factory on Wednesday to prepare for reopen some production lines also additional safety measures. 

On May 4th, Governor of California Gavin Newsom announced the state will gradually move into Stage 2 (Reopen) starting this Friday, May 8th.

CA is led by data and SCIENCE.

Based off our progress, we’ll begin to gradually move into Stage 2 this FRIDAY.

Some sectors where there’s a lower risk of transmission will be able to adapt & re-open with modifications.

This will include some retail and manufacturing/logistics.
