Tesla software updates are a unique feature that can significantly improve the performance of your vehicle. Owners of the recently released Model Y can now instantly reduce acceleration times by 10%.

Last year, Tesla released a paid acceleration boost upgrade for the Model 3 that brought its 0-60 mph time down to 3.9 seconds from 4.4 seconds. This is now available for the Model Y as well. For $2,000--via an over-the-air software upgrade, your Model Y Long Range AWD can now hit 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds (down from 4.8s).

In addition to the owner benefit, this improvement could help drive Tesla's revenue growth in Q3 2020.

This offer is currently only available to those who have already received their Model Y. But it is likely that it will remain active in the future. Currently, Model Y Performance costs $10,000 more than Long Range AWD version. This $2,000 upgrade offers customers an opportunity to significantly increase acceleration at a modest price.
