Tesla is preparing to open a Service Center in Singapore by the end of next month, as part of the ongoing development in the country's market. After the start of sales was launched in February 2021, the company aims to improve customer satisfaction with Tesla vehicle ownership.

Tesla will open a car service center in Toa Payoh, Singapore in July. The new location is located on the territory previously occupied by the Nissan Tan Chong Motor dealership. In February, Tesla launched an order configurator in Singapore with very attractive prices compared to some of the other options, both EV and their gasoline counterparts. The first model available to order in Singapore was the Model 3 Standard Range and Performance. Now the new service center is taking an important step towards the further development of Tesla in the country.

The company has also appointed a country manager, Christopher Bousigues. Tesla now is also actively seeking to fill a number of sales, service, and supply roles:

  • Supply chain manager
  • Delivery Assistant
  • Parts Advisor
  • Logistics Analyst
  • Supplier Industrialization Engineer

These actions indicate that the company intends to make a more serious entry into the Singapore market. Previously, the country's government did not support the transition to electric vehicles, so it made no sense for Tesla to develop in the market. However, in 2020, Singapore set a goal of phasing out gasoline and diesel vehicles by 2040 and made big bets on electrification to cut greenhouse gas emissions and slow climate change. In this regard, the government has offered purchase discounts that will make electric vehicles even more attractive.

Tesla service centers provide a variety of car repair services from small to more serious. This includes repairing minor dents and scratches as well as repairs in the event of damaged suspension, axles, wheels, or glass.
