UBER drivers will soon be able to rent Tesla cars offered by Hertz. The program to stimulate the transition to environmentally friendly vehicles makes the use of Tesla vehicles very attractive.

In October it became known that Hertz Global Holdings Inc. placed an order for 100,000 Tesla Model 3 vehicles as a step towards its ambitious plan to electrify its rental car fleet. A few days after that, the company announced that it would provide 50,000 of the 100,000 Teslas ordered to Uber.

It has now become known that UBER has sent emails to its drivers with an interesting proposal, shared by @WholeMarsBlog/Twitter. As explained, drivers can apply to rent a Tesla vehicle provided by Hertz. In addition, the email describes the conditions, cost, and how drivers can make extra money using this offer.

Renting a Tesla car will cost $334 per week (excluding taxes and fees). But, drivers have the option to make extra money through the following opportunities:

Zero Emissions incentive: Earn an extra $1 on every Uber trip (up to $4,000 annually).

Uber Green trips: Earn an extra $0.50 per trip, paid by riders when they select Uber Green. (This $0.50 is in addition to extra earnings from the Zero Emissions incentive.)

Uber Comfort trips: Teslas are eligible for Uber Comfort trips, which riders pay extra for.
