Elon Musk Says Organizations on Twitter Will Be Able to Identify Associated Accounts

Elon Musk is working on finding solutions to improve Twitter. He stated that verified organizations on the platform will be able to identify other accounts that are associated with them.

Twitter CEO Elon Musk, in an effort to improve the platform, announced that organizations registered on it will soon be able to indicate which Twitter accounts are associated with them. He wrote that it will be available soon. When asked about who would determine whether an account is a particular organization, Musk clarified that the platform itself would likely be the final arbiter, but was open to suggestions for a better solution on the matter.

Following the completion of the Twitter deal, Musk made a series of decisions aimed at cracking down on fake Twitter accounts. Part of the plan to combat them was the rollout of the $7.99 Twitter Blue subscription service for iOS users, which allowed users to receive a blue verification checkmark on their profiles. After pranksters and pests took advantage of this to create fake accounts and have fun impersonating various organizations and famous people, Twitter temporarily paused the subscription rollout in order to improve it.
