Elon Musk visited Nuevo León, Mexico, where he met with the Deputy Minister of Investments of the State Secretariat of Economics and possibly with the state governor Samuel García. The meeting could have dealt with an agreement to export Tesla products made in California and Texas across the Columbia Bridge, which was discussed earlier, and the company's investment in the region.

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk visited Monterrey, Nuevo León state, Mexico, according to Reforma. He was spotted and photographed during a conversation with Deputy Minister of Investments of the State Secretariat for Economics Emmanuel Loo. In addition, another photo captured the legendary engineer in a dialogue with an unidentified person, but Mariana Rodríguez, the wife of Nuevo León Governor Samuel García, can be seen in the background.

The source of the publication indicated that Musk met with García, who wants his company to invest in Nuevo León. The appearance of Rodríguez in the same place as Musk may also hint at this. In April, García visited Tesla Giga Texas to approve an agreement with the manufacturer to export its vehicles and products across the Columbia Bridge.

“We came to endorse this agreement, that all the assembly, products and all the exportation of cars made in California and Texas (by Tesla) will cross the Colombia Bridge,” he said at the time.

“Today we came to show them the Interserrana highway, the Periferico, the Gloria-Colombia highway, the North highway and the modernization of what is going to be the Port (Colombia), the most important customs office in Mexico,” said Garcia after the meeting in April.

Given the proximity of Giga Texas to the Colombia Bridge, the new route is likely to be more logistically convenient for delivering products to Mexico. It is likely that a new meeting between Musk, Garcia, and other government officials touched on this issue.
