Elon Musk Denies Another Media-Created Fiction: No, He Is Not Going to Build a Private Airport in Austin

Elon Musk refutes another media fiction about him, saying that he is not going to build a private airport near Austin, Texas. Unfortunately, the head of Tesla and SpaceX is forced to dispel rumors about himself almost weekly, as the media continues to lie.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has once again been forced to waste time debunking yet another fiction about him. In late July, an Austin-based news organization, Austoniareported that Musk was developing plans to build a new private airport. It wrote that the schedule and exact location were unknown, but the plan was for the airport to be east of Austin, near Bastrop. Of course, Austonia did not have a confirmed source or any documents, but only wrote that it was aware of several sources knowledgeable in the matter.

Musk responded to an article published by another publication, but which cited information from Austonia. He denied this ridiculous rumor and gave a detailed answer on why this idea is stupid. Giga Texas is only a 5-minute drive from Austin International Airport, so there is no reason to waste resources on building a private airport there.

“Not true. Tesla is 5 mins from Austin International airport. Would be silly to build another private airport, however the existing commercial airport needs another runway, as Austin is growing fast!”

The media continues to use Elon Musk's name in order to get clicks. To do this, they employ any conceivable method, even if they have to manufacture lies about him. Some of them are chasing an increase in traffic to their site, and others are deliberately harming Musk's personality by continuing to form a negative opinion about him—but they all violate the basic rules of journalism.
