PepsiCo is increasing the number of Megaсhargers for its Tesla Semi fleet. This may also hint that the number of electric trucks delivered to the company is gradually increasing.

PepsiCo has applied for permission to install the largest Megacharger site to date for its Tesla Semis. The company received the first 36 Semis at the beginning of December 2022. However, the further expansion of the fleet and the territories of its use also requires the expansion of the charging network, which is what the company is currently engaged in.

According to the information posted by @MarcoRPTesla/Twitter, PepsiCo has applied for a Megacharging expansion permit for its Semi fleet at the beverage company's bottling and distribution center in Fresno, California. The information shows that it will consist of eight stalls, which will be the largest Megacharger site to date.

Currently, PepsiCo has installed Megachargers in Sacramento and Modesto, California. Additional charging stations will expand the coverage area and the company's trucks will be able to deliver to a greater distance. From Sacramento to Fresno, the route is about 270 miles. Since trucks loaded with drinks will weigh much more than trucks loaded with chips, having more Megachargers on the route will come in very handy.

PepsiCo ordered 100 Tesla Semis back in 2017. At the moment, it is officially known that 36 of them were delivered. The expansion of the charging infrastructure may indicate that the company is gearing up to receive more Tesla Semis.
