On Tuesday, Tesla began sending out the first batch of invitations to the 2023 Annual Shareholders Meeting (Cyber Roundup 2023), Tesla's head of investor relations, Martin Viecha, announced on Twitter. On Thursday, he announced the second round of invitations and gave important reminders. All shareholders who have received invitations and plan to attend the meeting must confirm their participation within 48 hours of receipt. In addition, Viecha reminded investors that they must indicate their emails and the name of their +1. Investor guests must also be registered Tesla investors.

Annual Shareholders Meeting 2023 will take place on May 16, 2023, at 3:00 PM PT at Gigafactory Texas. Tesla investors who wanted to attend the event in person had to register online, as the manufacturer announced earlier. Investors who receive invitations cannot transfer their invitations to anyone else and must either attend the event in person or opt-out.
In addition to the in-person meeting at Giga Texas, Tesla will hold a virtual meeting. The company said it is providing any shareholder as of March 20, 2023 with the means to join the 2023 Annual Shareholder Meeting virtually at www.meetnow.global/TESLA2023. The virtual meeting will feature the same livestream accessible to the public, plus the option to submit votes and written comments on meeting agenda items. To join the virtual meeting, you will need a 15-digit secure “control number” unique to you, which you can obtain as follows:
- If you are a “shareholder of record” with shares registered directly in your name with our transfer agent, Computershare Trust Company (a minority of Tesla shareholders find the control number on the Notice of Internet Availability or paper proxy card that was sent to you).
- If you are a “beneficial owner” and hold shares through a broker, bank or other organization (the majority of Tesla shareholders), you will have to register in advance to obtain a control number. Please ask your broker, bank or organization for a “legal proxy” for the 2023 Annual Shareholder Meeting and submit a copy of it from your e-mail address with “Legal Proxy” in the subject line to firstname.lastname@example.org. If your request is received no later than 3 PM Central Time on May 11, 2023, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with your control number.
