Tesla is celebrating the opening of its 100th Supercharger station in Norway. The company offers the widest charging network of any on the market with over 1,500 stalls.

Tesla has opened its 100th Supercharging station in Norway, Tesla's Event Coordinator in Norway, Robert O. Akander-Lima, announced on Wednesday. The new charging station is located at Oslo North - Ullevaal Stadium and is part of Tesla's charging pilot program, which offers access to its Superchargers to all electric vehicles. With the opening of the new location, the total number of stalls in Norway has exceeded 1,500.

Norway is making a very significant contribution to the transition to electric vehicles. In October, the share of electric vehicles on the country's roads exceeded 20%. “This is an exciting adventure that we are part of here in Norway,” said Christina Bu, general secretary of the Norwegian Electric Vehicle Association. The Association estimates that it will take just under two years before the country reaches 30% of electric vehicles in its fleet. At the moment, in some locations, the share of electric vehicles is growing rapidly. For example, in Oslo, this share is 33.2%. In remote areas, slower growth is observed.

Electric cars from Tesla are one of the most frequent choices for the people of Norway. The entry of Model Y into the country's market has given a new round of popularity and the car is the best-selling vehicle in Norway with 15,544 sales in 11 months of 2022. Tesla is actively developing the charging infrastructure in the country so that its customers have wide access to the chargers.
