Tesla continues to expand its non-Tesla Supercharger pilot program, this time to several new European countries. Now, in addition to the Netherlands, Norway, France, Austria, Belgium, Spain, Sweden and the UK, electric vehicle owners in Denmark, Finland, Germany, Luxembourg and Switzerland can now charge at select Tesla Superchargers. In total, the program operates in 13 countries.

Tesla continues to expand support for electric vehicle owners in Europe. Tesmanian recently reported that a German EV owner was able to charge his vehicle on one of the Superchargers, although there was no official announcement of the opening. Now, after some adjustments, Tesla has announced the opening, but in five new countries at once, which is great news for EV owners. Starting today, electric vehicle owners in Denmark, Finland, Germany, Luxembourg and Switzerland can charge their vehicles on select Tesla Superchargers in their countries.

The move marks continued support for the development of the electric vehicle market and confirm the company's efforts to fulfill its mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy. Access to an extensive, convenient, and reliable fast-charging network is critical to the widespread adoption of electric vehicles. Today the company has more than 35,000 Supercharger stalls worldwide, so it is more actively opening access to them for non-Tesla EVs. More customers using the Supercharger network also ensures the faster expansion of the entire network.

The non-Tesla Supercharger pilot is currently available for Supercharging stations in the following countries:

  • France
  • The Netherlands
  • Norway
  • UK
  • Spain
  • Sweden
  • Belgium
  • Austria
  • Denmark
  • Finland
  • Germany
  • Luxembourg
  • Switzerland

The Non-Tesla Supercharger pilot is currently limited to EV drivers who live in the following countries:

  • The Netherlands
  • France
  • Norway
  • Germany
  • UK
  • Spain
  • Sweden
  • Belgium
  • Austria
  • Denmark
  • Finland
  • Luxembourg
  • Switzerland

Tesla is monitoring all Superchargers that have access to charging other electric vehicles in order to monitor the situation and make adjustments if necessary. Please note that access is only available at certain charging stations in the noted countries.
