Tesla Giga Berlin is planning further expansion in Brandenburg and could soon submit the relevant paperwork. The state government expressed its satisfaction with the manufacturer's commitment to developing in Brandenburg.

Tesla wants to expand its existing factory in Grünheide near Berlin. According to the manufacturer's statement, the next phase of the Giga Berlin expansion is currently being prepared, which will provide for the expansion of production capacity. In order to achieve this, the clearing of 70 hectares of the company's territory, which has not yet been prepared, begins on Friday.

Ccurrently, Tesla Giga Berlin Phase 1 employs more than 7,000 people. It is expected that the number of employees should rise to 12,000 after production is launched at full capacity. After the construction of Phase 2, the number of jobs will increase significantly more. Tesla is already the largest private employer in the region and future expansion will bring even more benefits to the state's economy.

Brandenburg officials are very pleased that Tesla is committed to the plan for further development in the state. “With the announcement of the next phase of the car factory expansion, Tesla is clearly committed to the Brandenburg location,” Brandenburg Prime Minister Dietmar Woidke said Friday.

The Minister for Economic Affairs, Labor and Energy Jörg Steinbach also said this was a good sign. “Brandenburg is becoming more and more an important location for Germany's modern automotive industry, and Tesla, as the largest industrial employer and trainer in Brandenburg, has played a decisive role in this.”
