Tesla has provided free charging on its Supercharger Network at select locations in countries bordering Ukraine for all EVs as part of helping Ukrainians fleeing Russia's attack on their country. Now owners of Tesla and non-Tesla vehicles can charge for free at some locations in Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary.

A resident of Poland @mrsredni/Twitter received an email from Tesla, which contained interesting and important information. According to the description in it, some Tesla Superchargers in Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary now offer free charging for absolutely all EVs that want to charge there. This initiative is launched as part of the support for Ukrainians trying to escape the war in their home country. In particular, the company opened charging stations in:

  • Trzebownisko in Poland
  • Kosce in Slovakia
  • Miskolc and Debrecen in Hungary

All locations are closest to the border with Ukraine in order to be as convenient as possible for refugees from the country who travel in EVs. This gesture of goodwill is intended to support Ukrainians who have suffered from Russia's aggressive actions against their country and people.

This is Elon Musk's second step to support Ukraine in its difficult fight against the aggressor. Immediately after the start of the war, his other company, SpaceX, activated the Starlink service in Ukraine and sent terminals to the country to provide uninterrupted Internet. Musk wrote that more terminals are already on their way.
