Tesla Model 3 continues to receive love from consumers around the world, and December was especially significant. Model 3 became the best-selling car in the UK last month, regardless of engine type.

Tesla makes the very best electric vehicles that have the perfect combination of performance, quality, and price. This makes them the most desirable of all existing to date, as evidenced by the registration data. While another vehicle from Tesla, Model Y, is on track to become the best-selling electric vehicle, it is not yet available in all countries, so the popular Model 3 continues to hold the top spot.

Tesla's goal is to replace internal combustion engine cars with electric vehicles, and the company has had significant success in this, as evidenced by UK sales data. According to the SMMT, in December, Tesla Model 3 became the best-selling vehicle in the UK, regardless of engine type. Thus, the electric car was able to surpass all the cars with internal combustion engines that have been popular there for decades.

According to the data, Tesla registered an impressive 9,612 Model 3s in December, more than doubling its closest competitor. MINI registered 4,625 units, taking second place. Vauxhall Corsa registered 2,608 vehicles and finished third. In fourth place is the Nissan Juke with 2,270 registrations, slightly surpassing Nissan Qashqai with 2,122 units in fifth place.

In the UK there were 108,596 new vehicles registered in December 2021 and Tesla Model 3 takes 8.85% of the market share.
