A Tesla Model 3 was spotted at Giga Texas. Initially, the factory was planned as a production site for Cybertruck, Semi, Model 3, and Y. And the first Model Y with white interior was also spotted, hinting that the factory may soon begin mass production of vehicles with the new interior.
@peterdog15/Twitter spotted something interesting at the Giga Texas site on Saturday. During a drone flight over the site, a transport truck with a trailer had two cars spotted on it. One is a Midnight Silver Metallic Tesla Model Y with a white interior. This was the first sample seen at Giga Texas. At the moment, the factory only produces cars with black interiors, so the appearance of this car is of particular interest.
The other car is a Red Multi-Coat Model 3. The appearance of the electric sedan at Giga Texas is a very interesting observation. On the one hand, it could be a hint of new factory activity, but on the other hand, it could have no significance at all. Initially, during the Q2 2020 earnings call, when Elon Musk announced the construction of Giga Texas, he revealed that it would build Cybertruck, Tesla Semi, Model 3, and Model Y for eastern North America. “We're going to be doing a major factory there. And it's also where we will be doing Cybertruck there, the Tesla Semi, and we will be doing Model 3 and Y for the eastern half of North America,” he said. However, later, references to the Texas-made Model 3 disappeared completely. At the moment, the only vehicles listed for production at Giga Texas are Model Y and Cybertruck.
