Tesla has officially announced the start date for deliveries of Giga Berlin-made Model Ys. The handover ceremony will take place on March 22, 2022.
Tesla Giga Berlin received final approval last week to build the factory and produce 500,000 vehicles per year. This gave the green light for the start of mass production, which means that the first deliveries will take place very soon. Previously, there was information that the ceremony at which the first cars would be handed over to customers should be held on March 22 or 23, and now this information has been officially confirmed.
Tesla enthusiast Sawyer Merritt/Twitter shared the information that the manufacturer has officially sent out invites to Giga Berlin employees for Delivery Day. He also shared an image of the invitation, showing that the event is scheduled for March 22, 2022, at 3:00 p.m.

Earlier it was reported that Tesla CEO Elon Musk will join the grand opening ceremony of Giga Berlin. In addition, the presence of the German federal government is planned, since Giga Berlin is the largest industrial and energy project in the country and one of the most modern factories for the production of electric vehicles in the world.
The Brandenburg police are preparing for an event with about 500 invited guests. The first 30 vehicles produced in Grünheide are expected to be handed over to customers at the event. The launch of Giga Berlin will be the start of big changes in the automotive industry in Germany and throughout Europe.
