Tesla began delivering Model Y and Model 3 to Thailand after about 2,000 vehicles arrived in the country at the end of January. This is the first official shipment of Tesla cars to the country where they are highly popular.

Tesla customers in Thailand celebrated the great news: the company has started deliveries of its vehicles to the first customers. @Tslachan/Twitter shared that on February 11, Tesla began handing over Model 3 and Model Y to customers during a gala event at its delivery center. In the coming days, more vehicles from the first batch will be delivered, and thousands more will be delivered when another ship arrives in the country.

The first batch of approximately 2,000 Tesla Model 3s and Model Ys was spotted at the Thai port of Laem Chabang on January 19. After the cars were delivered to the delivery center and prepared for handover to customers, the company held a solemn ceremony. Employees and customers of the company celebrated this event together because Tesla cars have long been popular in the country. Although prior to this, the company had not officially been delivering its cars here, consumers bought them from dealers or delivered them themselves, and Model 3 even ranked among the top best-selling cars in the country a few times.

Tesla opened the order page for its cars in Thailand on December 7, along with the opening of the first store in the country. In December, local publications reported that the number of orders in the first 48 hours exceeded 5,000 units. The first deliveries were expected in the first quarter of 2023, which is true. According to information received in December, the second batch for Thailand is scheduled no later than the middle of the year.
