Tesla is preparing a production upgrade of Model Y, codenamed Project Juniper. According to unnamed sources, the changes will affect both the interior and exterior of the car. The start of production is scheduled for the second half of 2024.

Tesla is actively making changes to its cars. Recently it became known about Project Highland, which will upgrade Model 3. Now rumors about changes to Model Y have begun to come in. According to three unnamed Reuters sources, Tesla is implementing changes to the compact SUV, which was codenamed Project Juniper

According to the announced information, the changes relate to the exterior and interior of Model Y. Production of the updated version is planned for 2024. Reuters asked for information about the supply of the necessary Tesla parts, and the suppliers said that production of the refreshed model is scheduled for October next year. Keep in mind that this is only a rumor, so you need to treat it with a lot of skepticism.

Earlier it was reported that Tesla is already working on retooling its Giga Shanghai to prepare an updated version of its Model 3 sedan. According to unconfirmed information, the production of the updated car will begin in September. According to rumored expectations, with the refreshed Model 3, Tesla will cut production costs and increase its appeal. This is probably also what to expect from the refreshed Model Y.
