Tesla is teasing three new vehicles in its Master Plan 3. One is in the compact car segment, another is in the commercial/passenger van segment, and the third is a bus. In addition, the company provided more details on the composition and size of the batteries for each.

Tesla held an Investor Day on March 1, 2023, where they presented Master Plan 3. The presentation contained a lot of information, rich in mathematical calculations, which were difficult to absorb quickly. On Wednesday, the company posted on its website a document containing both announced (at the event) and unannounced information.

The published document contains a lot of technical information. While it focuses on the company's battery and sustainability strategy, it contains some interesting insights into future products, namely vehicles. While we can find information about products that have already been announced, it also contains some information about products that have not yet been announced. Specifically, Tesla teased three new vehicles that were listed on the Batteries for Transportation table. Here we can see a compact car, a commercial/passenger van, and a bus.

The compact car has already been announced by Tesla, but its design and specifications have not been revealed. It is expected to cost around $25,000. According to the information in the table, it will have a 53-kilowatt-hour battery pack with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode. In the future, the fleet for this car model will be 42 million units.

Another mysterious vehicle was in the commercial/passenger van category. Although we still do not know what kind of car Tesla is talking about, there is speculation that it will be a robotaxi. According to the information in the table, it will have a 100-kilowatt-hour battery pack with a high nickel cathode. The same battery characteristics apply to Cybertruck, so it can be assumed that the van will be built on the same platform. Given the fact that Tesla has already developed a production line for Cybertruck, it would be wise to use this knowledge to produce different vehicles on this platform. In the future, the fleet for this car model will be 10 million units.

The third mysterious vehicle is a bus. According to the information in the table, it will have a 300-kilowatt-hour battery pack with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode. In the future, the fleet for this car model will be 1 million units.
