Tesla will launch its 10,000th Supercharger stall in mainland China in the coming days, the company said. This will be a symbolic event marking the manufacturer's achievements in building a charging network in the country over nine years.

Tesla announced via its Weibo that it will be launching its 10,000th Supercharger stall in mainland China in a few days. This will be the company's latest achievement in the construction of charging infrastructure facilities in the world's largest market for electric vehicles.

“Here's what you know: EV chargers are everywhere. And here's what you don't know: there are a lot more chargers laid out than you think.

While fuel-powered vehicles can only fuel at gas stations, electric vehicles can be recharged at home, work, the mall, and scenic spots.

Completion of the 10,000th Tesla Supercharger in mainland China is just around the corner, with such a dense and diverse network, what is the difficulty of charging?”

Tesla did not provide any more details in its post, however local media were able to learn more. According to information from Yiche, the manufacturer's 10,000th Supercharger stall in mainland China will be put into operation on December 26. It will be located under the Oriental Pearl TV Tower in Shanghai.

Tesla installed its first Supercharger in the world in September 2012. Already next year, the first Supercharger was installed in China. In fact, the 10,000th Supercharger stall is a symbolic event that shows how the charging network in China has been developed by the company in nine years. The new milestone comes after the company celebrated the installation of its 9,000th Supercharger stall in mainland China on September 9.

To date, Tesla has a total of over 1,400 Supercharger stations in mainland China, offering more than 9,500 stalls. In addition, the manufacturer has over 750 destination charging stations with over 1,900 stalls.
