SpaceX Starlink customers in Italy shared on social media that the company is offering a 30-day Internet trial in Italy for only €1 upfront –that's equivalent to $1 USD! The company will ship a Starlink Kit, which includes the phased array antenna to access high-speed internet from the satellite constellation, and a Wi-Fi router, to allow people to test the service before committing to purchasing. 

"Just received an email from Starlink telling me that in Italy is available a 30 day trial for just 1€ and the monthly price is cut off from 70€ to 50€. DAMN, I’M IN!" shared a Twitter user on November 2nd. "For a limited time in Italy, try Starlink for 30 days for only €1 upfront. The remaining balance of €409 will be automatically charged 30 days after receipt unless you cancel service and return an undamaged Kit," wrote SpaceX via email to potential customers (translated from Italian language).

SpaceX is already available in all seven continents across 44 countries. Starlink is available across most of Europe. The company is launching satellites to Low Earth Orbit on a weekly basis to rapidly expand the internet service coverage. As of today, SpaceX has launched a total of 3,558 satellites out of 12,000 that will be deployed within the next five years. 

"Most satellite internet services come from single geostationary satellites that orbit the planet at 35,786 km. As a result, the round trip data time between the user and satellite—also known as latency—is high, making it nearly impossible to support streaming, online gaming, video calls or other high data rate activities," says SpaceX, "Starlink is a constellation of thousands of satellites that orbit the planet much closer to Earth, at about 550 km [kilometers], and cover the entire globe.
