Tesla Giga Shanghai is preparing for new mass deliveries to overseas markets. Around 7,000 Model Ys have been spotted at the manufacturer's export port and more vehicles continue to arrive.

Without a doubt, Tesla Giga Shanghai is great in its ability to produce cars quickly. Since it is a relatively new plant, the manufacturer has applied new technologies there. It has conveniently located its workshops and continues to optimize production and expand production capacity, which is happening actively. In just two years of operation, the plant has become an export hub for the manufacturer and has carried out more than 50% of all Tesla deliveries in 2021. Its Chinese-made cars are supplied to various markets around the world, including Australia and European countries. Every month, Giga Shanghai surprises with growing production figures, which shows the relentless pace of work to expand and optimize efficiency.

Wu Wa/YouTube, who constantly follows the development of Giga Shanghai, once again spotted a huge batch of Tesla vehicles. He visited the Nangang Pier, where he noticed thousands of cars being prepared for shipment. At the time of the shooting, there were about 7,000 cars, all Model Ys. This is because the production line for Model 3 is currently being upgraded, so at the moment, Giga Shanghai is only producing the compact SUV. According to the information, most of them are ready for shipment to Europe.

According to information from local media, after the upgrade, Giga Shanghai will produce 2,000 Model Ys per day, and will gradually increase to about 2,200 vehicles per day, which should happen in August. Modernization of the Model 3 production line began on July 17 and is expected to be completed on August 7. After the modernization is completed, production of Model 3 will reach 1000-1200 units per day.
