The Boring Company shares video of a 'Tunnel Rave' under Las Vegas

The Boring Company was founded by Elon Musk with the purpose to alleviate traffic congestion in populated cities. The Boring Company builds networks of tunnels where Autonomous Electric Vehicles (AEV) can transport passengers at high speeds through an underground transportation system called “Loop.” AEV’s are made up of modified Tesla Model 3 and Model X. These zero-emission vehicles will shuttle passengers through the tunnels at approximately 150-miles per hour.

The first real-world shuttle project is under construction at Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC). The tunneling project is almost complete and it will be operational by January 2021, according to city officials. The Boring Company plans to expand the LVCC Loop transportation system to other parts in Las Vegas, including downtown and nearby casinos.

Today, the company shared a video teasing the near completion of the Las Vegas Loop system. The video is captioned ‘Tunnel Rave’, and it features two white Tesla vehicles under color-changing neon lights – in true Musk fashion. He has mentioned a couple of times that he would like to throw a ‘rave’ party under the tunnels and at his Tesla Gigafactories. In the video shown below, a set of elevator stairs can be seen in the background, pedestrians will walk down the stairs to ride a Tesla that will travel underground at high-speeds through a pair of one-mile-long tunnels. The Loop passengers will arrive to their destination in less than a minute. Typical walk distance from the Las Vegas Convention Center’s New Exhibit Hall (West Hall) building to the South and North/Central Hall is 15 minutes.
