Dogecoin Is the 3rd Most Popular Donation Cryptocurrency to the American Cancer Society

Dogecoin is the third most popular donation cryptocurrency to the American Cancer Society. This cryptocurrency accounts for 4% of the total number of donations received.

The American Cancer Society (ACS) has revealed the popularity of Dogecoin in donations received. The popularity of the meme coin is no longer limited to just investing. This cryptocurrency is now becoming popular for paying for purchases or services and is now gaining momentum in use for donations. The ACS said that many people donate to their organization in Dogecoin, which it began accepting for donations in May 2021.

The American Cancer Society reported that Dogecoin had become the third most popular cryptocurrency in which donations are made to it. The organization said that 4 percent of the total donations received came from Dogecoin. ACS accepts donations in cryptocurrencies through The Giving Block, a popular solution for donating cryptocurrencies.

Last year, the organization launched the Cancer Crypto Fund campaign, with which it aimed to raise a $1 million fund so it could be used for cutting-edge cancer research. The organization achieved this goal earlier this year. The American Cancer Society was founded by American businessmen and physicians in 1913. The purpose of its creation was to inform doctors, patients and their families about cancer.
