Elon Musk Ends Speculation about Leaving Post of Tesla CEO

Elon Musk completely denied the rumor about leaving the post of CEO of Tesla during the annual meeting of shareholders. He said Twitter is a short-term distraction and now he intends to devote much more time to Tesla.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has denied rumors he is stepping down as CEO of the company. It came up recently, along with Musk's announcement that he found a new Twitter CEO. Although he had already dispelled the rumor that was created by the Wall Street Journal, some investors continued to express extreme concern about this. During the Annual Meeting of Shareholders, which took place on May 16, 2023, one of the investors asked Musk about the rumors of leaving.

“There're some rumors that you're thinking about stepping down as CEO. Please say it ain't so,” he said.

“It ain't so,” Musk replied, ending the speculation and anxiety in the Tesla community. “I think Tesla's going to play an important role in AI and AGI, and I think I need to oversee that.”

Immediately after the shareholder meeting, Musk gave an interview to CNBC. He said he was going to devote much more time to Tesla. “I'm going to be devoting a lot more time to Tesla, and especially on the AI development, and product development,” he said.
