Elon Musk Is a 'phenomenon and his goals to help humanity are beyond anything that anybody can imagine', Says Tosca Musk

Elon Musk “is a phenomenon. He's exceptional in so many ways and his goals to help humanity are beyond anything that anyone can imagine,” says his sister, Tosca Musk. Together, they have overcome their difficult childhood and now support and respect each other.

The Musk family has many successful members. Maye Musk, who single-handedly raised three children, has formed strong personalities, each of whom now contributes to society. Although Elon Musk is Maye's most famous son, he also has a brother, Kimbal, and a sister, Tosca. Kimbal is a restaurateur, chef, and entrepreneur who strives to teach people how to eat healthy using the highest quality products and instill healthy habits in children. Tosca is an executive producer and director of feature films, television programs, and web content who creates romantic films to emphasize love, because our world is already full of violence.

Tosca recently gave an interview to The Sunday Times where she talked about many things, including her older brother. “I don't like that my kids watch YouTube and there are jokes about my brother; it makes them feel a little uncomfortable. And they don't understand why people would say [negative] things about him,” she said. Unfortunately, in his life, Elon often encountered cruelty, the reason for which most often lays in the fact that he was deeply misunderstood.

Tosca is one of those people who knows Elon well and understands what drives him. Having gone through a difficult childhood together, she knows the hidden corners of her brother's personality and sees him as an exceptional person.

“And I'm incredibly proud of my older brother. He is a phenomenon. He's exceptional in so many ways and his goals to help humanity are beyond anything that anybody can imagine. So there's no taint at all.”

Tosca has great respect for Elon, who sometimes helps her with thoughtful advice. “He said to me, 'I will give you advice. But if I give you advice you need to take it. Otherwise, I'll never give you advice again.' I was like, 'If you give me advice, I will take that advice,” she said. Asked if her brother's advice was good and if Elon had ever been wrong, Tosca said, “No, he's never wrong. Not even a little bit.”

In addition to giving sound advice, Elon also seeks to explain the complexity of his activities to his sister. To explain in plain language how difficult it is to land a rocket, he said: “Tosca, it's like taking a pencil. And there's an eraser on the one side and I want you to throw it up in the air and I want you to land it on that eraser.” Then Tosca replied that it was impossible to do this, but she was convinced from personal experience that her brother had achieved the goal.

Tosca said that she remembers little from her traumatic childhood. Her father, Errol, abused her mother, Maye, physically and mentally in front of the children. She and Kimbal were too small then, but 5-year-old Elon tried to protect his mother by hitting his father. The complex life story was described by Maye herself in her book, A Woman Makes a Plan.

Due to the deluge of false information that has been debunked many times, many people believe that the Musk family has always been rich. Although Tosca's father, an engineer, did earn a lot, after Maye divorced him, he did not support the children financially at all, and in addition, he intentionally destroyed their personal belongings, bought by their mother with her own money, in order to make her suffer even more.

“Some people spew hate language towards us because they think we grew up with a silver spoon and were given everything – which is so far from the truth. When I was growing up it was just a matter of survival.”

Above all else, Elon is an excellent moral supporter. When Tosca made the decision to have children at the age of 37, the first person she decided to discuss it with was Elon. “I think that's a good idea. You'd make a great mother. I support you in that,” he said.

Tosca is close with her brothers: “I don’t know if they’ll agree with me – but I think we share a lot of characteristics. We certainly enjoy each other’s company… We try to each other as often as possible see. Kimbal's a chef so he'll cook dinner. Normally we’re just hanging around the table and having a chat and laughing.” Even Elon occasionally cooks. “He once made exceptional cinnamon buns.” Probably he did not do them from scratch: “But it was more than putting them on a plate. There was some doughy thing he had to do. They were delicious.”
