Tesla continues to improve its Full Self-Driving (FSD) system, which now relies only on "pure vision," without the use of radar. FSD Beta V9 has already been released and in the coming months Tesla will release new updates that will involve wider rollout, Elon Musk says.

On July 10, Tesla began distributing V9 software for FSD Beta with improved ‘mind of car’ UI visualization. More than 2,000 testers who now have access to FSD Beta actively use it and share positive feedback. Despite the fact that FSD is not yet working as perfectly as many would like, the company has achieved tremendous success in autonomous driving using only cameras. After V9 testing is over, new versions of FSD Beta will be released, which will have a number of fixes and improvements, and only after that will its wider rollout become possible.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has now tweeted that a wider rollout may become available with V10. However, if testing is not as successful as they would like, then a wider rollout will happen only with V11. A wider rollout means that all vehicles with the purchased FSD will have a "Download Beta" button, which will appear in the "Service" section.

It should be kept in mind that Tesla is doing a great job trying to achieve what no one else has. They developed their FSD system from scratch, through a long and complex process, and only learned from their own mistakes. Any seemingly almost finished product undergoes thorough scrutiny and testing, as a result of which some points may be found that require improvement. And since there is no prior existing experience in this matter to pull from, it is impossible to indicate exact dates.
