The Governor of Nuevo León visited Tesla Giga Texas to endorse the agreement on the export of the company's products, manufactured in California and Texas, through the Colombia Bridge.

Nuevo León Governor Samuel Garcia Sepulveda made a working tour of Texas, reports Mexico Now. During this visit, he visited Tesla's Austin plant to approve an agreement with the manufacturer to export its vehicles and products across the Columbia Bridge.

“We came to endorse this agreement, that all the assembly, products and all the exportation of cars made in California and Texas (by Tesla) will cross the Colombia Bridge,” he said.

On this trip, the Governor was joined by the minister of the Environment, Alfonso Martínez, and the minister of Regional and Agricultural Development, Marco Gonzalez. Politicians are reported to have visited Giga Texas to learn about the various manufacturing processes of Tesla's new US assembly facility, as well as show an upgraded route that can deliver the company's products.

“Today we came to show them the Interserrana highway, the Periferico, the Gloria-Colombia highway, the North highway and the modernization of what is going to be the Port (Colombia), the most important customs office in Mexico,” said Garcia Sepulveda.

Given the proximity of Giga Texas to the Colombia Bridge, the new route is likely to be more logistically convenient for delivering products to Mexico.
