The recently released Tesla Model 3 and Model Y have received some important changes that significantly improve the car ownership experience. One of the important and welcomed updates is of the steering wheel in these two models. It has clearly received aesthetic, physical design changes, and according to rumors, now it will be heated. Sources say Model Y will also receive an important update--namely, Bioweapon Defense Mode.
Today, @mortenlund89/Twitter posted a message that the owner of a Model 3, using voice command, tried to activate the heated steering wheel. In response to this, the car issued a message stating that "Heating in steering wheel can not be activated."
Another Twitter user replied that the feature has been confirmed in Switzerland, and that it will be activated via the holiday update, likely the one that Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently mentioned.

In addition to Model 3's heated steering wheel, people familiar with the matter reported that Model Y also has this improvement. However, this only applies to the refreshed 2021 models, which have recently begun production. In addition, people familiar with the matter also said that Model Y will also get 'Bioweapon Defense Mode,' although details on how it will be activated are not yet available.
In late October, hacker @greentheonly/Twitter once again noticed several updates that should be made available to Model Y. He claims that the car will receive a HEPA filter and the corresponding Bioweapon Defense Mode. He also clarified that Model 3 most likely won't receive it at this point. According to the new information, @greentheonly was right.
Apparently, these are not all the updates that the owners of Model 3 and Y will receive in the near future. Tesla never ceases to amaze and delight its customers with new and attractive improvements.
