Regent Seven Seas Cruises Rolls Out SpaceX Starlink

Regent Seven Seas Cruises announced a significant milestone in its commitment to providing exceptional luxury experiences for its passengers. The renowned cruise line has successfully installed SpaceX's Starlink satellite internet on board the Seven Seas Mariner, setting the stage for passengers to enjoy high-speed complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi services. This cutting-edge satellite technology upgrade will be available just in time for Regent's 2024 World Cruise, which departs in January, allowing guests to surf, stream, and share their experiences at sea like never before.

In a further enhancement of onboard connectivity, Regent Seven Seas Cruises has plans to extend this technological marvel to its latest ship, the Seven Seas Grandeur. The installation of Starlink is scheduled to take place before the ship's launch in November this year, ensuring that passengers and crew can enjoy the same high-quality internet services.

“Unlimited WiFi is part of the truly all-inclusive Regent experience and, as with every element on board, we want to ensure our guests are receiving the best of the best with new and innovative technology,” said Andrea DeMarco, president of Regent Seven Seas Cruises, in a press release. “Not only will luxury travelers be able to share their unforgettable moments in real time, but the increased bandwidth provided by Starlink will also improve onboard services and operational needs – these elements coming together to provide an unrivaled experience for our discerning guests, as well as our talented crew.”

SpaceX's Starlink technology utilizes advanced low Earth orbit satellites that beam internet to the world's most remote regions. This innovation promises to provide an exceptional high-speed internet experience for passengers and crew alike, revolutionizing the cruise industry's connectivity standards. Regent Seven Seas Cruises has committed to outfitting all six of its ships with Starlink technology by the end of 2024, ensuring that all passengers can enjoy a seamless and unparalleled internet experience during their voyages. With this upgrade, Regent representatives said they will continue to deliver on its promise to provide guests with the highest level of luxury and convenience, both at sea and ashore.
