Tesla has installed 40,000 Supercharger stalls worldwide, greatly accelerating the pace of deployment in recent months. The charging infrastructure is one of the most important requirements to promote e-mobility.

On Tuesday, Tesla announced a new milestone: the installation of 40,000 Supercharger stalls. The company did not name the location where the 40,000th stall was installed. At the moment, Superchargers are actively installed around the world and China is one of the most dynamically developing regions in the world, where the manufacturer pays special attention to its charging infrastructure. Today, about 25% of all installed Superchargers are located there.

The new milestone was reached just five months after the previous one. In June, the company celebrated the installation of the 35,000th Supercharger stall. This means that, on average, about 1,000 stalls were installed each month during this time. Prior to this, the milestone of 30,000 stalls was reached in November 2021 and it took Tesla seven months to add another 5,000. This indicates that the manufacturer is now deploying new Superchargers much faster than before.

The first Supercharger was installed in September 2012, and in 10 years the manufacturer has been able to achieve excellent results. By promoting electric vehicles, Tesla has gone to great lengths to create an industry from the ground up. Everything from electric vehicles and charging stations to solar panels and batteries are created, distributed, and constantly improved to accelerate the world's transition to renewable energy.

40,000 stalls worldwide are located at over 3,500 Supercharger stations. The USA is the country with the largest number of charging stations, accounting for about 40% of all existing ones. China is in second place with about 25%.
