Tesla celebrated the opening of the 100th Supercharger station in South Korea. The milestone was reached in five and a half years of development in the country, which was to increase customer satisfaction in a growing market.

Tesla Korea announced that it had reached a milestone in the country's market on November 8. The company celebrated the installation of the 100th Supercharger. It is a V3 Supercharger that provides up to 225kW peak rates per car. The 100th Tesla charging station is located on the 5th underground floor of the D-Tower in Seongsu-dong in Seoul. The Tesla Charging Twitter account shared the news on November 10.

The 100th Tesla Supercharger in South Korea was built in about five years and six months. The first Supercharger station was installed in May 2017 in the underground car park of Parnau Tower in Samseong-dong, Seoul. Tesla quickly expanded its supercharging infrastructure in Korea. They were mainly installed in shopping centers, residential areas, restaurants, cafes, and near car washes.

Tesla Superchargers are very user-friendly. Owners can enter payment card details in advance and the payment will be charged automatically after connecting the car to the charger. Korean customers especially appreciate this ease of use.

At the moment, all Superchargers are located in cities and there are none in road service areas, due to local regulations. This is an inconvenience for customers, which at the moment cannot be resolved. Tesla Korea discussed the installation of Superchargers in a highway rest area with the Korea Expressway Corporation, but there has been no progress on this issue so far.
