Tesla continues to expand in China in an effort to create a full-fledged structure that not only builds vehicles from the company's developers in the United States, but also develops its own products that will best meet the needs of the local market. Tesla China has opened recruitment for a number of positions that are related to the development of new car models, software for vehicles, and in other areas.
Recently, there has been increasing rumors that China has already created a new Tesla model, which many call Model 2. According to rumors, the new model will be produced starting in 2022. However, the team in China continues to recruit staff for positions at the Design Center. Here are the recently published recruitment listings:
- Chief designer
- Operations manager
- Color texture manager

Tesla China also announced recruitment for positions related to Software Engineering:
- Data engineer | SQL/Python

China is a large country, which, in addition to the general traffic rules, also has specific traffic rules that are different from those used in other countries of the world. Chinese developers are the best at creating Map & Navigation software that is ideal for use in China.
The infotainment system of Tesla cars made in China is also different from that found in cars made in the USA. That is why the company needs a team that will develop products that will satisfy and delight customers in the Chinese market.
Tesla is also recruiting employees in several other areas that will help the company successfully develop and scale in the Chinese market.
