Tesla FSD Beta price will rise to $15,000 in North America on September 5, CEO Elon Musk said. This will happen once FSD Beta 10.69.2 starts rolling out to all participants.
Last night, FSD Beta 10.69 began rolling out to some Tesla owners who are part of the testing program. CEO Elon Musk noted that “This build is a big step forward!” Some participants have already shared their driving experience and agreed that this version is much better, especially in places where the features of earlier versions experienced difficulties.
Just finished my first drive with #FSDbeta 10.69. It handled the turn perfectly near my house that 10.12.2 was struggling with. It’s accelerating much better and visualizations seem crisper. Also it’s steering is noticeably smoother than before. Super impressed! @elonmusk pic.twitter.com/5YLLiUJng0

Over the next week, FSD Beta 10.69 will be tested by a limited group of approximately 1,000 participants. Musk said there will be a wider release with version 10.69.1 likely by the end of next week. After that, the team will need some more time to polish the feature, and according to the CEO, FSD Beta 10.69.2 “should really shine.” Wide roll out to all participants will only begin with version 10.69.2.
Now that Tesla has achieved a significant milestone in the development of FSD Beta, and seems to be very proud of it, another increase in the price of the feature is expected. Musk said that after the FSD Beta 10.69.2 mass release begins, the price of FSD in North America will rise to $15,000. He announced that September 5 was the scheduled date. Musk clarified that the current price of $12,000 will be kept for all orders made before September 5, even if they are delivered later.

The increase in the price of FSD is expected, as Musk has repeatedly warned about it. He explained that the more success the company achieves in its development, the higher the price will be. Already now, vehicles with activated FSD can travel considerable distances without the intervention of a human pilot, although it should not be forgotten that the function requires constant supervision from the driver and their readiness to take control at any time.
