Tesla FSD Beta V10 makes significant improvements over the previous version of the software and showcases even more stunning features. FSD Beta now handles situations that previously caused it difficulties.
FSD Beta testers received a software update to version 10 last week and noticed a number of positive changes. These include smoother freeway exits, cleaner, more accurate cornering with traffic lights, more confident unprotected left turns, and improved responsiveness to difficult situations. All this caused a lot of positive feedback and gave the company confidence that FSD Beta is ready for wider distribution.
However, before that, Tesla released another seemingly light update, V10.0.1. Although it has only a few minor bug fixes, the new software has performed much better than before. It became possible to trace this thanks to Dirty Tesla/YouTube, who for almost a year, tested all the updates in the same location. Since he did not have the opportunity to test V10, it is difficult to say for sure in which version this significant improvement occurred, but it was spotted during testing V10.0.1.
Dirty Tesla went to a small underground parking lot in the library, where he tested all previous versions of FSD Beta. The peculiarity of this underground parking is that it is very compact, and its narrow road runs right into a large wall, immediately in front of which there is a 90-degree turn. It should be kept in mind that FSD Beta has never been able to successfully overcome this turn before. Nevertheless, it seems that it is in such moments that FSD Beta V10 manifests all its “mind-blowing” prowess.
The first attempt failed, so Dirty Tesla gave the car a second and last chance. To his great surprise, FSD Beta not only coped with it but perfectly drove this previously impossible turn. While the improvements in FSD may have seemed subtle to some testers, the evidence suggests that they are not. The fact that the software was able to drive through a difficult stretch of road that it had never been able to do before is a testament to the tremendous success of Tesla's team as they strive to deliver Level 5 autonomy as soon as possible.
