Tesla Giga Berlin is expected to receive final approval before the end of next week, a German news outlet reported. The ceremony, where the first cars will be handed over to customers, should take place on March 22 or 23.

According to information obtained by Tagesspiegel (via Sawyer Merritt/Twitter), Tesla is gearing up for the grand opening ceremony of Giga Berlin, which will be the official event that Elon Musk attends. At the moment, it is scheduled for March 22 but it may be rescheduled for March 23. It is reported that the Brandenburg police are preparing for these dates. The Tagesspiegel expects the German federal government to also join the ceremony as Giga Berlin is the largest industrial and energy transition project in Germany and one of the most modern electric vehicle factories in the world.

The Brandenburg police are preparing for an event with about 500 invited guests. It is expected that the first 30 vehicles produced in Grünheide will be handed over to customers at the event. The launch of Giga Berlin will be the beginning of big changes in the automotive industry in Germany and throughout Europe.
