Tesla Giga Berlin has provided employment to hundreds of unemployed people through a local employment agency, boosting the state economy. The manufacturer is offering jobs in an effort to employ 12,000 people.

A local employment agency that works with Tesla said it had already hired about 700 unemployed people in Giga Berlin since March. This was announced by Jochem Freyer, director of the Frankfurt Employment Agency, on Friday at the request of rbb24. In addition, he said that another 500 job seekers and unsolicited candidates have received jobs. Thus, Tesla has already created 1,200 jobs for candidates from a local employment agency in recent months, boosting the state's economy and reducing unemployment.

The company continues to actively recruit workers and is happy to welcome people in a variety of specialties. In particular, locksmiths, mechatronics technicians, and industrial mechanics are being recruited, in addition to a wide range of other roles. Tesla Giga Berlin currently employs over 4,000 people, but continues to expand to 12,000 employees.

Tesla aims to reach a production capacity of 500,000 vehicles in Phase 1, which could happen by the end of 2023. According to earlier reports, after a recent upgrade, the company is aiming for an interim production target of 1,500 vehicles per week, and 3,000 vehicles per week by October. By the first quarter of 2023, Giga Berlin is expected to produce 5,000 vehicles per week.
