Tesla Giga Texas Expands Recruitment for Cybertruck Production Since it Starts Soon

Tesla Giga Texas expands recruitment for Cybertruck manufacturing. About 10 new positions to work in the Drive Unit, Body in White, and Stamping shops hint at serious preparations before the start of production.

Tesla Giga Texas has opened the recruitment of employees for the production of Cybertruck, which is an important indicator of progress in this direction. At the beginning of the month, recruitment for positions for the production of the electric pickup truck was opened. First, the company was looking for a Manufacturing Operations Leader for Cybertruck, and other production specialists, all for the Body in White shop.

Now Gigafactory Texas has expanded recruitment by adding more than 10 new positions in various workshops. Tesla continues to look for a candidate for the role of Manufacturing Operations Leader for Cybertruck. The candidate must be of exceptional ability and have at least 15 years of experience in the field, with 5+ years of management experience in a high volume production or industrial environment. The person in this position will be responsible for meeting the production forecast and ensuring that the company's goals are met.

For the Body in White shop, the company hires:

  • Dimensional Engineer
  • Senior Process Engineer
  • Senior Equipment Engineer
  • Dimensional Engineering Manager
  • Equipment Engineering Manager
  • Senior Equipment Engineer, CNC
  • Maintenance & Reliability Engineer
  • Senior Equipment Engineer, Joining
  • Senior Equipment Engineer Robotics
For the Drive Unit shop, the company hires:
  • Process Engineer
  • Equipment Engineer
For the Stamping shop, the company hires:
  • Robotics Engineer
  • Senior Laser Equipment Engineer
  • Tool & Die Engineer

The body Body in White is one of the most complex production shops with a high degree of automation. Therefore, the start of earlier recruitment for these positions confirms that Tesla has begun installing the Cybertruck production line. For the first time, information that the factory is already in the tooling stage for the electric pickup appeared in the company's earnings report for Q3 2022. Now, the emergence of new positions for work in other workshops is a strong indication that Tesla is in Plaid mode to start Cybertruck production.
