Tesla has added a 245,000-square-foot facility in Marysville, Washington. The facility is located near the Canadian border and is expected to be used “as a parts and assembly plant for Austin.”

Tesla continues to expand its presence in the US market as the company's capabilities and consumer demand continue to grow. In addition to factories, the company also has facilities where parts for its cars are assembled. They are necessary both for the production and service of cars, the number of which are growing at a rapid pace.

Following the announcement of the construction company and property owner, the Puget Sound Business Journal identified the newly built warehouse as owned by Tesla. This is a 245,000-square-foot facility at 16015 51st Ave NE. According to a yet unconfirmed assumption of the Puget Sound Business Journal, the object will be used “as a parts and assembly plant for Austin.” However, it could also be used for other purposes, such as a warehouse or facility to support operations in Canada, where Tesla's next Gigafactory is expected to be built.

The expansion to the northwest is part of the company's plan to expand its presence in the domestic market, which is especially relevant in connection with the US policy that promotes the development of electric vehicles. Whatever this venture will be used for, one thing is clear, Tesla continues to expand to meet the needs of a growing market.
