Tesla enters the restaurant business, as promised by the CEO of the company Elon Musk. The manufacturer has applied for a trademark registration, which is intended to cover the categories of restaurant services, pop-up restaurant services, self-service restaurant services, and take-out restaurant services.
The idea of creating a restaurant connected to a Tesla Supercharger station was visited by Elon Musk back in 2018. Now the company has moved from words to deeds and on May 27 filed an application for registration of a trademark, which was spotted by u/lgats/Reddit. At the moment, it has already been accepted and is awaiting review by experts, which should take place no earlier than three months from the date of submission. The mark, submitted by Tesla for registration, consists of a stylized "T" design. The company has a bona fide intention and is entitled to use the mark in commerce on or in connection with the identified goods/services.

In January 2018, Musk came up with the idea for an old-school drive-in, roller skates and rock restaurant at one of the new Tesla Supercharger locations in Los Angeles. He was really inspired by this idea, which could be felt by reading his tweets.

On April 2021, Musk via his Twitter account wrote that a big new Tesla Supercharger station is coming to Santa Monica. He also expressed the hope that it will be possible to have a 50's diner in which 100 best movie clips will be played, which could improve the experience as you wait for charging and be overall great entertainment. In addition, Musk wrote that he is grateful to Santa Monica city, which may hint at some progress in the implementation of this plan.
Major new Supercharger station coming to Santa Monica soon! Hoping to have 50’s diner & 100 best movie clips playing too. Thanks Santa Monica city!

In early March 2021, it became known that Tesla indeed plans to launch the world's largest V3 Supercharger station in Santa Monica, California. Documents filed with the Santa Monica Planning Commission indicate that the station will include 62 V3 stalls. The new V3 station is planned at 1401 and 1421 Santa Monica Boulevard. Although this approval met with some challenges, in the end, it seems to be moving forward. Musk's new tweet indicates that the new Supercharger station is "coming to Santa Monica soon," which can mean he has some confidence that the location is secured.
Supercharger stations will provide a consistent customer base from 15 minutes to one hour. During this time, Tesla owners will need to kill some time, so food and movies in a stylish atmosphere are a great way to do this.
