Tesla introduces Model S & Model X and Optimus in South Korea at the Seoul Mobility Show. For all these Tesla products, this is their debut in the country.
Last week it became known that Tesla will take part in the Seoul Mobility Show. The 2023 Seoul Mobility Show is South Korea's largest automotive exhibition. It will be held from March 30 to April 9 at the Kintex Exhibition Center in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do. More than 160 companies from ten countries attended the event. Mobility Show started on Thursday and the first guests have already attended.
According to Korea JoongAng Daily, Tesla brought Optimus with it. A 173 cm, 73 kg bipedal humanoid robot greets visitors at the entrance to the Tesla booth at the show. Optimus with a “Don't mess with Tesla” belt creates unique vibes for everyone who comes to see the Tesla booth. The robot has a 2.3 kilowatt-hour battery on its back, which should be enough to run for about a full day.
South Korea is the second foreign country to see Optimus after China. No other country, beyond the US, China, and Korea, had the opportunity to see the robot at such events. Tesla is participating in the Seoul Mobility Show for the first time.
In addition to the impressive robot Optimus, Tesla brought its latest Model S and Model X vehicles to the show. Delivery of these cars to the Asian region began only a couple days ago, starting from China. Delivery dates for new vehicles to South Korea are scheduled for Q3 2023. Show attendees will have a unique opportunity to see the cars in person.
As an exciting and useful entertainment for consumers, Tesla invites them to take part in a drawing. At stake is a long test drive of Model S or Model X. Tesla is offering a two-day, one-night test drive ticket. Those who wish to apply for this can do so through the company's website (here) from March 24 to April 9. There will be two winners.
“Be the first to experience the wonders of everyday life with your new Model S or Model X. We will give you a 2-day, 1-night test drive pass for Model S or Model X by lottery from among those who applied,” Tesla said in the description.
