Tesla CEO Elon Musk has planned the construction of another facility, which will be located across the road from Giga Texas. At the moment, it is not known what exactly will be located there and to which of his companies the site will belong, but one thing is clear: it will be developed for Tesla, SpaceX, The Boring Company or Neuralink.
The Austin Business Journal reports that there is activity across the toll road from Tesla's giant factory in eastern Travis County. Sources of the publication said that the land will be allocated for Musk's SpaceX. Earlier it was reported that the company began hiring employees, including, among various positions, a construction manager for a production plant in the region.
No permits have been filed yet with the city of Austin for commercial work on the site on the southwest side of State Highway 130, so the company's plans for this site may still change. Giga Texas is being built on the east side of the SH 130 toll road, and the company owns at least 752 acres west of the highway. Sources say the new facility will be located southwest of the Gigafactory under construction. A new video released by an observer of construction progress at Giga Texas shows that construction activity has already begun there, namely land clearing and leveling.

To date, several permits have been filed for the city indicating that restoration work has been planned throughout the Colorado River Project. Andy Linseisen, assistant director of the city’s Development Services Department, said the company has been doing this restoration work since last year to wind down the mining operations on the land.
Real estate experts in the region suggest SpaceX could well be located next to Tesla's new factory, as the company posted local hiring in early March. However, other Musk companies—The Boring Company and Neuralink—have also posted job openings in Austin, including for a construction manager.
