Tesla Is Preferred EV Among Delivery Drivers & Dispatchers, Study Shows

Tesla is the preferred EV among delivery drivers and dispatchers, a Circuit study shows. 51% of the surveyed delivery drivers and 38% of dispatchers preferred Tesla, which underlines the high attractiveness of the brand's vehicles.

Consumers are becoming increasingly aware of environmental issues, especially as weather anomalies have become more frequent in recent years. Therefore, they deliberately more often choose sustainable companies. Every company can improve its sustainability profile by optimizing last-mile delivery and reducing its carbon footprint.

Implementing sustainable delivery methods can also help companies save money, reduce fuel consumption and vehicle maintenance, and comply with regulations. To help companies learn how sustainable last-mile delivery can help their business, Circuit spoke to more than 1,000 delivery drivers and dispatchers to learn how they are working to reduce their carbon footprint.

Circuit surveyed 932 drivers and 109 delivery service dispatchers to find out how they are striving to become greener. A fifth of dispatchers said they plan to switch to electric vehicles to save money, and approximately 7% of delivery drivers surveyed said they had already driven electric vehicles.

Survey data showed that Tesla is the preferred electric vehicle among delivery drivers and dispatchers. 51% of all surveyed drivers and 38% of dispatchers choose Tesla. This is the best result, which no other brand can match. For example, Ford is in second place: 17% of delivery drivers and 28% of dispatchers will choose the brand's electric vehicles. In third place is Nissan: 19% of delivery drivers and 16% of dispatchers will choose the brand's electric vehicles.
