Tesla Model 3s, from a large Hertz order announced in October, have begun delivering. These cars are extremely popular, according to the company's spokesperson. Hertz said that next year, their Tesla rental vehicles will enter new markets.

In October, Hertz placed an initial order for 100,000 Tesla vehicles, which interim Hertz Chief Executive Mark Fields had said would be primarily Model 3. The company said that all Tesla cars will be delivered by the end of 2022. However, the first wave of vehicles, as part of Hertz’ national rollout, has already been delivered, the company said to Benzinga. In addition, it was confirmed that a wider national deployment is planned for next year.

“The initial deliveries of Tesla Model 3 have already started to arrive as part of the first wave of our national rollout that will continue to expand to new markets next year,” a Hertz spokesperson said, without offering any further breakdown on the initial volumes it has secured so far.

The popularity of Tesla cars is very high, and new Model 3s are added to the fleet every day. Customers crave the ability to drive a car from the Texas-based manufacturer as they have a very good reputation. Though, because of the currently limited Tesla supply, Hertz is often forced to recommend its customers book traditional gas-powered car options.
