The British have been eagerly awaiting Model Y’s arrival, and now it seems that this wait may soon be over. Tesla sent out email invitations to test drive the electric compact SUV, which will undoubtedly have a huge impact on the country's auto market in 2022.

In mid-October, Tesla opened the order page for Model Y in the UK. Since then, customers have been waiting for their highly anticipated vehicles to arrive. The first deliveries are expected in early 2022, but no more precise details about the date have been provided. However, we have now received the first hint that deliveries will soon start.

@ZainS180/Twitter shared that Tesla sent out emails inviting customers to test drive Model Y. As explained in the email, appointments are available in Thorpe Park Theme Park and Manchester Trafford Center. Thus, the company has already delivered the first cars to the UK in order to offer test drives to consumers.

This information hints that the first Model Y deliveries will soon begin. Presumably, this could happen in mid-February, after the cars produced at Giga Shanghai and loaded on vessel carriers reach the shores of the UK. Model Y has every chance of becoming one of the best-selling EVs in the country, gradually capturing an increasing share of the automotive market. Model 3 is currently the best-selling EV and one of the best-selling vehicles in the UK car market, although full-year statistics will be available in just a few days.
