Tesla Model Y is Norway’s best-selling car in September and in the first three quarters of 2023. Data shows that the car has no equal competitors in the country.

The Norwegian market continues to show its love for electric vehicles, and Tesla is the #1 choice. Sales data for September and all of 2023 are impressive and highlight the significant advantage Tesla and its Model Y have over all other manufacturers. Sales data for all vehicles, including petrol, diesel, and electric models, showed that electric vehicles continue to be the most preferred. Their share is above 80 percent every month and for the entire year.

EU-EVs, which publishes data on sales of electric vehicles in Norway, has already reported up-to-date information for September. This made it possible to evaluate car sales in the country based on the results of three quarters of the year and see a winner. In September alone, Tesla sold 2,474 Model Ys. To understand the car's advantage, just look at the sales data of its competitors. In second place is Skoda Enyaq with only 686 sales for the whole month. In third place is Ford Mustang Match-E with 459 units.

Data for the first three quarters of 2023 are even more telling. Tesla sold 19,555 Model Ys in nine months, more than 2,000 units more than its four closest competitors combined. The closest competitor, Volkswagen ID.4, is in second place and sold 5,635 units. In third place is Skoda Enyaq with 4,589 units sold. Volkswagen ID.Buzz registered 3,636 units. In fifth place is Toyota BZ4X with 3,327 sales.
