Tesla's holiday software update, 2020.48.25, brings new video games to its cars, which will not only keep owners entertained in any situation but also unlock new vehicle functionality. The company is launching on Tesla Arcade 3 these new games: Cat Quest, the classic Solitaire, and one of Tesla CEO Elon Musk's favorite games --The Battle of Polytopia -- which is a multiplayer game with the ability to play online.

The Battle of Polytopia is a 4X turn-based world-building strategy game. The player leads one of fifteen tribes to develop an empire and defeat opponents in a low poly square-shaped world. It is playable alone against AI, against friends in a "Pass & Play" mode, and against online opponents in multiplayer mode. At the moment, the online version of the game is not available to Tesla owners, but Musk has promised that this will soon change.

Today, via his Twitter account, Musk invited users to play the Battle of Polytopia, praising the game. He also promised that the multiplayer online version will soon become available to Tesla owners.

This is incredibly great news. At the moment, although Tesla cars have a unique entertainment center that allows their owners to play many different games, none of them can be played online. But, a new statement from Musk suggests that this may soon change.

Playing online is very different from playing with a computer. Now you will have the opportunity to interact with other players who will make the game unique and inimitable. This will also be the first step towards further expanding the capabilities of Tesla's entertainment center.
