Tesla continues to strengthen its position in several countries in Central and Eastern Europe. The company is preparing to open its first store in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.

In 2019, Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that the company plans to expand its presence in Central and Eastern Europe, in relatively small but dynamic car markets. Shortly thereafter, all Tesla vehicles, except Model Y, became available to order in Poland, Hungary, Romania, and Slovenia.

It has now become known that the company is preparing to open its first store in Hungary on April 16. It will be a pop-up store located in Budapest at the MOM Park shopping center. Tesla Club Hungary has shared this information on Facebook. One of the representatives of the club received a letter from Tesla with some details.

“I would like to inform you that we are planning to open the first official Tesla store in Hungary at MOM Park on April 16th."

In December 2020, Tesla planned to set up a service center in Hungary. The manufacturer already has a service center in Warsaw, Poland and another service center is due to open in Bucharest, Romania. Tesla now intends to open not only a store but a service center in Budapest, Hungary. In mid-December, the company opened recruitment for a number of positions related to service: Service Manager, Service Technician, and Senior Service Technician.

The service center and store will further increase the propensity of residents of the country to buy Tesla cars. Tesla's two largest demand drivers are Superchargers and service centers. There are currently seven Supercharger stations in Hungary, and a service center and store will complement them.
